Apparently I was wrong. The corner guards for the most challenging turn of the race are not the mattresses from our apartment building. I have been told by Wes Kennison, Palio Ph.D., that they are Formula One race track corner guards. No one fell off today though. In fact, I don't think anyone on the track broke a sweat. Sometimes the trial races aren't really trials. Sometimes, they are just out for a jaunt. Again, take a look at the 1200px shot below for the best detail. These are some great shots.
