Audrey is gearing up to head to Rome for three days at the Hotel Palatino which will be quite a departure from the more quaint town of Siena, where locals are far more common than tourists. Says Audrey last night via a cell phone call, "I am actually starting to feel as if Siena is home. While the language barrier exists, there is a tremendous feelng of belonging here, this after only 2 weeks. There is much more of a sense of community here compared to the US. The difference is remarkable when you are exposed to it. Perhaps it shows I am not involved enough at home, something I plan to change upon return."

Last Saturday, Audrey took a day trip to Arezzo, Italy. Tueday, she was back in Florence for the day. While the shots arent as good as some of the others, a few stand out. She is growing to love Florence more and more. I plan on staying there a few days as well, and might rent a motorcycle and head off for a side trip to that area while Audrey is in class.
