- August 16 - 7:45am: Unfortunately, the Palio feed
has been down the better part of the last 12 hours or so.
I am now skeptical the race will be shown live although they
might resume with replays immediately following the actual
race. Perhaps they are just experiencing technical difficulties.
I'll see what I can do from this end, which isn't much at
the moment.
The is the TV feed direct from Siena, Italy, although no longer
the original Palio feed from July! Yes, the new August Palio
feed is apparently back up and active, with pre-race activities
and tapes of past events in full swing. Unfortunately, the
video quality is now down to subterranean levels; perhaps
they will work on this by the time the actual race is broadcast
on the 16th. If last race is any indication, there will be
some downtime. Check and refresh. To get race to open up in
an external player, right click on above and select "Play
in RealPlayer" option, this allowing you to surf the
net while the player is open - kh
