Introducing THE PHONO STAGE by Progressive
Engineering. Mike Paschetto has come up with a Statement tube phono
preamp that takes it "to another level."
Click below for more CAD Renderings.
The preamp uses a split passive RIAA circuit as the base for the design,
designed by none other than Sir Paul Joppa. The gain triodes are Russian
6N1Ps with C4S (Camille Constant Current Source) loads.
The output is fed into a C4S'd 12BH7 running as a cathode
follower, and the whole thing is shunt reg'd by a hybrid 5687/7119 regulator,
which is in turn loaded with C4Ss. The DC heater supply is heavily filtered,
including some chokes.
According to Doc B himself, "this preamp is nice and quiet, with plenty
of speed and extension." If you want a no-holds-barred phono preamp,
look no further. Limited first production run - Please Inquire
August 2004 - Stay Tuned for an upcoming review of The Turntable
. New to 2004 are some enhancements to the table with a platter upgrade
and other refinements as seen during the last VSAC in the "Doc B" Bottlehead
room, a room that received a"BEST OF SHOW" from Positive
Feedback.

at VSAC2003 site:
"On top is the phenomenal The Turntable by Progressive Engineeering...Here
is a closer look at The Turntable. There were a lot of great turntables
at VSAC 2003. This one, Mike Paschetto's latest version of The Turntable
with a super trick glass filled acrylic platter, sounded the most articulate
and vibrant to Doc's ear. The arm/cartridge combos demoed were a Rega RB300
with Eclectic Audio Incognito cable upgrade and an old FR-1MkIII, and a
knockout combo of SME V with a Shelter 501. The Turntable was very happy
on it's Neuance isolation platform, custom built for The Turntable by Ken
Lyons." photo

Take a tour of the site and the Turntable
and drop us an email with any inquiries. We are now in full production and
have been getting raves across the board with excellent response at the
latest Analog
show in Frankfurt, Germany where The Turntable was up against
some stiff competition!
PRICING PAGE - Rega - Incognito
Please see our pricing page linked below. We will be selling the excellent
Rega arms featuring Incognito Rega RB-300 which is rewired with Cardas
wire from cartridge to RCA plug! This takes the Rega arm to giant-killer
status. We then pre-drill the solid aluminum armboard for this great arm
(but will drill for other arms on request - see list). This is an amazing
combination, and partnered with a top notch cartridge, puts most commercial
tables to shame.
